Chesongoch Mission Hospital, is located in Kerio Valley. Acquired in 1973 by the Missionary Benedictine Sisters.
At Chesongoch Mission Hospital, we believe in more than just treating illnesses; we believe in nurturing wellness and fostering holistic healing. Whether you come to us in times of illness, injury, or simply for preventive care, you can trust that you will be met with warmth, respect, and the highest quality of care.
Involvement of missionary sisters
In the year 1973 the AIC – African Inland church, handed over an already established dispensary at Chesongoch to the Missionary Benedictine Sisters. The AIC church felt that they didn’t have the need nor capacity to sustain the mission dispensary.
The Missionary Benedictine Sisters under Fr.Paul Steimnan acquired the property and Sr. Ruth Gruebel, OSB and Sr. Margaret Arnold, OSB started the community of sisters who acquired the hospital.
